Classic cars and muscle cars run better on specific fuel and oil, if the engines have not been remanufactured to meet the current standards used in gasoline and motor oil sold today. Engines built before 1970 were designed around fuel with lead, allowing for more compression. Today's gasoline does not contain lead, and there are alternative additives that can replace the lead as a substitute.
Engine parts today are also usually coated with a zinc alloy, whereas years ago the zink was an additive in the motor oil to preserve the engine. Today's oil does not contain zinc, but there are manufacturers still producing "old school" oil. Find what you need from the shops below.
